1. Introduction:-

The process or art of constructing; the act of building; erection; the act of devising and forming; fabrication; composition is called construction. The construction industry covers a wide range of areas including public and private housing, non residential public buildings like hospitals and schools, commercial buildings like offices, and industrial buildings like factories or units. The industry is also involved in the repair, maintenance and refurbishment of all existing buildings, and the infrastructure and services to all new and existing buildings. According to the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyor report, the real estate construction industry in India acts a noteworthy position regarding value involvement to the economy of the country and employment provided. Moreover, the industry is estimated to develop even further at around 36 per cent every year to reach at around US$ 180 billion industry by the year 2020 (RISC Report, 2012).

1.2 Overview and background of business:-

Sphere Engineers is a Delhi, India based Construction Company. Sphere Engineers provides all the construction solution under one roof like from starting of project planning to building construction then services likes electrical, plumbing etc. Finishing like interiors of the project is also the part of the Sphere Engineers. We work according to client needs. Our main clients are big real estate construction companies. The scope of the work for the company is as follow:-

Ø  The scope includes start to end projects covering every task from sketching of building drawing to finalized the civil construction.

Ø  The scope also includes the complete interiors of the project.

Ø  The complete services like electrical, plumbing, fire etc.

Ø  Construct both residential and non-residential buildings.

1.3 Objective and purpose of the research:-

The main purpose of this research is to find out the factors and checking the feasibility of starting up a construction company called Sphere Engineers in Delhi, India. The objective of the research is also to find out the, purchasing power and the requirement of the target market so as to reflect those needs in the operations of the company.     

Ø  To reveal the trend and tendencies in the business, i.e., to assess the growth or expansion potential of the business and to identify the influencing fact or determinants of business parameters like economy growth.

Ø  Explore the familiarity with the present status of the construction business and the effect with government policies.

Ø  To determine the affect of the bank interest rate in the demand of the construction.

Ø  Find out the necessity of the technology and safety environment in the construction business.

1.4 Research Question:-

Ø  What is the trends and future of the real estate construction industry?

Ø  What is the effect of the economic growth on real estate construction industry?

Ø  What is the effect of government policies on real estate construction industry?

Ø  What is the effect of the bank interest rate on the real estate construction industry?

2.0 Literature Review:-

The literature refers to all sources of secondary data that relevant to your study like topic books, professional journals, government date online database (Collis &Hussey, 2009, p.91).

Purpose of Literature review

Review of Past literature on construction industry in India and New Delhi in particular has been conducted in order to examine the various drivers of the construction industry in New Delhi and India as whole. Further, a key aspiration of conducting the Literature review is to get hold of insights into the construction industry regarding the affects of economic growth, government policies, role of banks and trends on the growth of Indian real estate construction as well as on Sphere Engineers Construction Company which will help in formulating the various aspects of the business plan.

2.1 Economic Environment:-

Sphere Engineers as a construction company provides solution to all construction needs under one roof. In India construction is the second largest economic activity after agriculture. “India is receiving a big dose of public and private investment in construction projects and transportation infrastructure to help supply them. The Indian government has introduced a $60 billion stimulus plan to bolster it is flagging economy, the third-largest in Asia” (Biederman, 2009). This shows that the future of construction industry in India is very bright. Also in “Delhi the per capita income is increases by Rs 1,16,886.00 in 2009-10 to Rs1,35,814.00 in 2010-11”(Government of N.C.T. of Delhi, 2010-11, p-7) Figure 1and 1a. This increase in per capita income shows the life style of people of Delhi improves day by day.
