Title - An analysis of critical success factors in project management: Are client presentation methods of needs and expectations determinant of project success/failure?



1.      Introduction

1.1.            Background

The field of study that is been taken in the research is based on the improvement features that has to be examined and if they are adopted will enhance the success of the organizations (Pinto & Rouhianinen, 2001). The main aim of the study is to give the desired project on the time. For this propose the mangers have to dynamically do the work of updating the methods and the techniques that were applied. This study in a regarded as a very intricate task that is responsible for finding the proper ways and important areas where the management could be focused. The main aim of the study which is dependent on the project success that was given to them by the manager associated with the study. There are a lot of people that are linked with this industry are various consulting firms and diverse other companies.

1.2.            The Industry

The procedure related to the engineering industry that were associated with the structure and manufacture and make the raw materials in a sequence and state for example milk manufacturing and chemical procedure. The trade consists of beverages food and refining the petro-chemicals and various other things.

1.3.            Research Questions

The study questions that had been made were done after some primary research and that were as follows:-
Ø  Are client presentation methods of needs and expectations determinant of project success/failure?
Ø  What are the critical success factors that provide a focus to assist project managers in UK deliver successful process engineering projects?


1.4.            Research Objectives

Ø  To analyze the role of client presentation methods of needs and expectations as determinants of project success or failure
Ø  To study the critical success factors that provide a focus to assist project managers in UK deliver successful process engineering projects

1.5.            Dissertation Structure

The first chapter of the report will consist of the introduction followed by the literature review which have diverse themes related to the crucial features which came out while the research investigation. The dissertation structure is done after the research process and the chapter that validate and the particulars of the study techniques that were utilized in the study. The concluding part of the study is made after the detailed scrutiny of the various things from the literature review. The things were transferred into diverse things which and write them as an interview.
